A full-day tattoo session (6 to 8 hours) is an endurance journey for your body. Proper preparation makes the difference between an enjoyable experience and an exhausting one.
1. Get a Full 8 Hours of Sleep
Your pain threshold drops significantly when sleep-deprived. Rest well the night before your session in your villa or resort.
2. Eat a Substantial High-Protein Meal
Never get tattooed on an empty stomach. Your blood sugar will drop, causing dizziness and increased nerve sensitivity. Have a hearty breakfast 1-2 hours before your appointment.
3. Bring Snacks and Electrolytes
Bring coconut water, energy bars, and fruit to maintain steady blood glucose throughout needle breaks.
4. Wear Loose, Comfortable Clothing
Wear dark clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo placement area and won't cause friction against fresh ink afterwards.
